A Chico native, Kevin attended Pleasant Valley High (Go PV!) and then graduated from Chico State University with a degree in Business Administration. Kevin Baker has been helping people find affordable insurance coverage while protecting them from life’s uncertainties for over 20 years. When he is not helping people find the coverage they need or find solutions to the risks they face in their day to day lives, he is spending quality time with his family, playing the guitar, enjoying a good game of golf or planning to restore his ‘69, El Camino, he’s had since he was 16 years old.
Christie Cruikshank joined our team in 2005, after relocating from the beautiful Sierra Mountain Range in Alta, CA. She served as our receptionist for a short time, then jumped right into getting her property/casualty and life licenses. In 2013 we honored her abilities with an award for Outstanding Customer Service. Christie is committed to ongoing learning and recently graduated from an accredited life and retirement course offered through The American College in Northbrook, IL . Christie views insurance as her way of offering risk management and peace of mind. She loves what she does and cares about the families we serve. When you come by the office be prepared to smile because of her infectious laugh.
Destry Trede started working for the Baker & Baker Agency in fall of 2015. He originally planned on getting into programming and working for a big tech company but realized his genuine passion is working with people. His father was employed by an agency in Red Bluff for 30+ years and knew he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. Some of his biggest hobbies and interests are gaming, building PC’s and of course Star Wars. Destry also loves spending time with his family, hunting and golfing.“

Maggie Kennedy started with Allstate in 1986 after moving to Chico. She was looking for a new auto insurance and within six months later was hired at the local office. Initially, Maggie wanted to become a teacher but decided at the end that it was not her calling. However, she enjoys the training and education aspect of her job which includes onboarding new employees and educating clients. Then, she moved to Paradise 10 years ago and started working in our Paradise office about eight years ago. Maggie loves living and working in Paradise and serving our clients here on The Ridge. Although we’ve grown in the last 30 years, she still feels like we’re family, serving family.

Originally from New York, Greg now lives in Durham, CA with his wife and 2 children. Greg graduated from Marist College with a degree in Criminal Justice, but soon realized that he did not want to be a police officer after all. He began his career in the financial industry back in Boston in 1996. Greg has been helping people with their investment and retirement needs for over 20 years. In his spare time, Greg enjoys spending time with his family, as well as, in the community coaching little league, basketball, flag football, and hockey. If you can’t find him in the office working, or on a field coaching… check the golf course!
